Wacky Wednesdays

Hey everyone!

Well, I am tired and it's after 10:00, so instead of writing a lot, I'm going to load you up with pictures and a new word work freebie tonight.  Actually, I'll be writing a little.  I mean explanations are always nice, right?  Just no crazy stories tonight :)

I'll start with Disney.  He's been quite the busy elf this week.  Yesterday, we came into an island full of dinosaurs.  Apparently, Disney thought he could disguise himself as a tree, but it didn't fool my little people.  This was simple, but it still made my kids smile.

Today the entire first grade got to experience Disney.  I had the later handy, so I climbed up and attached him to the top of my sign.  While I was up there, I realized that the chalk attached to my sign had broken, so I decided to put it to use.  Hopefully, I'll be able to find a piece of chalk to reattach after the holidays.  The funniest part was listening to the kids trying to decide who he stole the chalk from.  The classroom sign next to mine had chalk missing, so the kids had decided Disney stole their chalk.  It never occurred to them that I was missing chalk, too.

Now, for tomorrow Disney decided to leave a note on one of the student computers.  After I took the picture, I turned the screen off.  I also made a point of changing the spelling of a few words to throw some of my inquisitive little rascals off.  The closer we get to Christmas the more rambunctious my little friends seem to get.  I think the kids who lose a point (hopefully no one) will come in and have everything in their desks switched.  The kids who don't lose a point may come in and see a batch of cookies wrapped in a box.  As for homework, Disney and I are still scheming on that one, but it will definitely be something funny.  Stay tuned for more pictures since this one will obviously have a part two.

Now, onto my freebie.  I've been working on a few things for January.  Yes, I know that's a few weeks away, but I never seem to be thinking about tomorrow.  You can't fail if you are a few steps ahead, right?  I've been playing around with a few word work ideas that I've used with my kids in the past.  However, now that I have adorable, cute borders, I wanted to give them a face lift.  This freebie includes three worksheets that are templates.  You can use them to fill in whatever your words are for the week.  Below are pictures of the three sheets I created.  If you like them, click HERE to grab them.

Have a great Thursday!
