I am so excited I get a chance to be part of this hop again! When I thought about what I wanted to blog about I decided organizing your students because when I first started teaching I didn't have a clue how to do this. Sure, I had folders and the basic things, but I swear every time I checked desks they were crammed full of papers. Not to mention, headphones were everywhere, agendas were missing, and at least one friend cut their hair (or clothes) each of those first few years.
So, over the last few years I've come up with a few things to help with keeping my little guys more organized. Oh, and as much as I love things matching my classroom not everything does, so don't feel like you have to have cutesy stuff to make something practical. My file folders are definitely not updated, but I wouldn't trade them for the world.
Here are some of the ways that I have organized my kiddos.
I hope some of these ideas help you out in your classroom. If you are looking for more awesome ideas, then definitely visit the next blog in this hop. It is by Conversations in Literacy.
I cannot wait to check it out because she is telling us how to use our book order forms to creating authentic activities for our students.
Hope you have an incredible time reading all the great ideas! Don't forget that if you are looking for a specific topic you can select from the link up buttons below. They are organized by lower and upper grades. Plus, below each button you can see what is being covered.
Have a fantabulous Sunday!
Love these tips! Isn't it funny the way kids respond to a timer?? Love it! Thanks for sharing!
